Commissioner El\u017cbieta<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Bie\u0144kowska<strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>responsible for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, said:\u00a0<em>\u201cThis is a new milestone in the digital transformation of public procurement. I welcome this major upgrade, which will make public procurement more attractive for businesses and allow citizen to see how their taxpayer&#8217;s money is spent.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>These new rules will help green, social and innovative businesses get better access to public contracts, in line with the Commission&#8217;s 2017\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/?uri=COM%3A2017%3A572%3AFIN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/?uri%3DCOM%253A2017%253A572%253AFIN&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1570279607543000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGPJKL6opMiOa4PkVrOh5DYwWOKZw\">Making Public Procurement work for and in Europe<\/a>\u00a0plan. eForms will be used in about \u20ac500 billion worth of large public contracts and may also be used in up to \u20ac1.5 trillion worth of smaller contracts.
