Design Services for New Railway Line Kalampaka – Kozani
The Consultant’s objectives concerned the reviewing, optimisation and updating of the existing preliminary alignment designs of OSE S.A., from ch. position 83+500 up to 105+889 of the National Railway Line in the segment Siatista-Kozani, in order to optimise the technical characteristics of the line, the designs of all the necessary civil engineering works of the project (railway bridges, road overpasses, cut & covers, tunnels, retaining walls etc.) and the rehabilitation of the road network. The main structures are a tunnel of 1300m length approx. and a Cut & Cover of 650 m. length approx.

BOAK started in 1968 with a construction of a cross-section with a width of 11.10m – 12.50m. With the implementation of the 2nd CSF (1994-1999) constructed new sections of one branch and 12.50m cross-section with a length of 47km as well as the upgrading of a 16km road axis in cross-section with a 22m double branch with a New Jersey safety island in the middle.
Within the framework of 3rd CSF (2000-2007) sections of a total length of 48km have been foreseen for construction, 25km of which concern the upgrading of the already existing road axis.

Study of new port of Chios
The object of the present study is the design and tender documents of the port facilities of the new port of Chios (construction of breakwaters, dredging, land reclamations, and quays).
The study consists of the following phases:
• PHASE I: Preliminary design (geotechnical investigations, preliminary design of all harbour works, passenger terminal building, E/M installations, cost-benefit analysis, environmental impact study)

Surveying, Recording and Cost Accounting for the incomplete Interchange structures at Roditsa I/C, Central Greece
The project consists of the construction of a 5km highway including an interchange, 6 river bridges, 9 culverts, underpasses and related flood protection works for Sperhios and Lamia rivers with a total construction cost amounting to €56.000.000.

Salfo & Associates Engineering Design Services S.A. has been awarded the contract for the Study of Tourism Development for the South Aegean Region. The scope of woks includes the following:
a) Diagnosis of the tourism development potential of the Region
b) Recommendations on a strategy of viable tourism development, including alternative scenarios. The project duration was 6 months.
