ACTIVITIES

SEGM is the oldest and largest Pan-Hellenic Association of Consulting Firms and has been operating uninterrupted since 1981, with a significant/leading presence in the public debate and in the political, social and administrative processes that concern, directly or indirectly, the sector of consulting firms. It is one of the few business organisations in the technical sector, with a continuous, daily operation and activity, but also with a general impact on the technical world, regardless of the agreement or adoption of its positions and proposals. In order to achieve its objectives, SEGM, through its Board of Directors, undertakes a multitude of actions and activities, such as:

• cooperates with the competent bodies for the formulation and development of the institutional framework governing the activities of its members in Greece
• cooperates with national and international service commissioning bodies to promote the professional objectives of its members
• seek by all appropriate means the correct application of the applicable institutional framework by the entities entrusted with the provision of services to its members
• make representations, suggestions or announcements to the competent authorities of the Greek State or the European Union or other international bodies, for the promotion and implementation of the Association’s objectives
• bring actions before the courts to defend the interests of its members, either independently or by assisting its members in their respective actions
• negotiate and sign collective agreements concerning its members
• participate in relevant international organisations and their activities
• undertakes on its own and/or in cooperation with other bodies research and studies relating to the field of studies and services in order to promote its objectives
• participates in Greek or international projects supporting the development of its offices and the Association itself
• organize and participate in events and conferences in order to promote the objectives of the Association
• informs its members about national and international trends in the conditions of practice of the profession
• organise and participate in training seminars on the objectives of the
• publish magazines, books and other publications relating to its aims and activities
• collect and present or publish data and information material on its members and their activities
• issue or participate in the issue of quality certificates and other certifications for its members
• issue certificates to its members for information at its disposal.

The actions of the Association are recorded in the annual Report of the Board of Directors and presented at the Annual General Meeting at the end of each year.
